It was a good story, but it reminded me a little of "Village of the Damned" (the original 1960-ish film) and Stephen King's "Firestarter". Also, the characters and narrative repeat themselves a lot. The writer needs to know that not every dialog must end with an exclamation point. The parents were so clueless for so long, that I wondered how they became wealthy. If it took place in New York, why weren't any landmarks mentioned?

Real gripping page-turner about a little girl left abandoned in an alley-way and the family who takes her into their home find out that she has special powers to move objects with her mind. Now,this subject has been done before and so if you're looking for something different, this ain't it,but it is a gripping, exciting novel for lovers of horror and sci-fi everywhere
